Email marketing, if done correctly can prove to be a very successful method of marketing your products or services. Companies like eBay, Amazon, Mercedez Benz, CNN, McDonald’s and many other use email marketing on regular basis to reach wider audience and gain potential costumers. Email marketing can be a very effective method of directing targeted audience to your website.
Unfortunately it is too often abused. That is why if you’re thinking about email marketing please only use opt-in email lists. That means the list was created because people signed up to receive relevant information. Another thing to remember is to focus on your specific target audience. Submitting your Website to Link Directories
Most SEO professionals will tell you that it is not enough to place your links in directories and search engines. In fact, most people will tell you that it is better not to do that, since that may seem like spam to Google. In fact I have seen websites disappearing from search results after an aggressive submission campaign and I have also seen websites that went up is SERP (Search Engine Result Pages) after a smart execution of such a submission campaign. Such campaign must be done in moderation! My advice is to submit your websites only to directories that have a minimum PR (pagerank) of 2 or 3 and do no more that 100 submissions per week per website. Also, always submit your web link to a relevant category. Although I am not a big fan of directory submissions, such campaign works best when your domain is already well established (at least a year old) and you just need a push in the search results for a given keyword. You can use that keyword as your link’s title. Another word of advice is – do not start your search engine marketing with directory submissions if you’ve got a new domain and a new website! This will only slower the process of indexing your website. What you want to do first is to get quality links from trusted websites (PR of 5 or higher) and let Google discover your site through those links.

It is better to leave it to people who know what they are doing. This way it is done much quicker and usually cheaper because various specialised tools and resources are readily available. Prices depend largely on the amount of work that is required. For limited budgets it is best to use networks such as Elance. Of course it is always better to use a provider with 100% positive feedback and with at least five projects under their belt.
